Welcome Portage County Residents
Portage is a beautiful, moderately sized, county in Ohio’s northeast. One of the requirement to get on the ballot is we must get 10% of the voters of the last governors race – or approximately 418,00 signatures. However, those must come from at least 44 counties with at least 5% of their voters.
For Portage County to be a full partner in the Abolition of Taxes on Real Property amendment we need to collect at least 3,020 quality signatures. Therefore, the goal for Portage is to collect 9,062 signatures (15%).
